All sins on Abu Bakr(la) and Umar(la)

قب، [المناقب لابن شهرآشوب‏] حَدَّثَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الدَّيْلَمِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ الْكُوفِيِّ قَالَ كُنْتُ لَا أَخْتِمُ صَلَاتِي وَ لَا أَسْتَفْتِحُهَا إِلَّا بِلَعْنِهِمَا فَرَأَيْتُ فِي مَنَامِي طَائِراً مَعَهُ تَوْرٌ مِنَ الْجَوْهَرِ فِيهِ شَيْ‏ءٌ أَحْمَرُ شِبْهُ الْخَلُوقِ فَنَزَلَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ الْمُحِيطِ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص ثُمَّ أَخْرَجَ شَخْصَيْنِ مِنَ الضَّرِيحِ فَخَلَّقَهُمَا بِذَلِكَ الْخَلُوقِ فِي عَوَارِضِهِمَا ثُمَّ رَدَّهُمَا إِلَى الضَّرِيحِ وَ عَادَ مُرْتَفِعاً فَسَأَلْتُ مَنْ حَوْلِي مَنْ هَذَا الطَّائِرُ وَ مَا هَذَا الْخَلُوقُ فَقَالَ هَذَا مَلَكٌ يَجِي‏ءُ فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةِ جُمُعَةٍ يُخَلِّقُهُمَا فَأَزْعَجَنِي مَا رَأَيْتُ فَأَصْبَحْتُ لَا تَطِيبُ نَفْسِي بِلَعْنِهِمَا فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى الصَّادِقِ ع فَلَمَّا رَآنِي ضَحِكَ وَ قَالَ رَأَيْتَ الطَّائِرَ فَقُلْتُ نَعَمْ يَا سَيِّدِي فَقَالَ اقْرَأْ إِنَّمَا النَّجْوى‏ مِنَ الشَّيْطانِ لِيَحْزُنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَ لَيْسَ بِضارِّهِمْ شَيْئاً إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ شَيْئاً تَكْرَهُ فَاقْرَأْهَا وَ اللَّهِ مَا هُوَ مَلَكٌ مُوَكَّلٌ بِهِمَا لِإِكْرَامِهِمَا بَلْ هُوَ مَلَكٌ مُوَكَّلٌ بِمَشَارِقِ الْأَرْضِ وَ مَغَارِبِهَا إِذَا قُتِلَ قَتِيلٌ ظُلْماً أَخَذَ مِنْ دَمِهِ فَطَوَّقَهُمَا بِهِ فِي رِقَابِهِمَا لِأَنَّهُمَا سَبَبُ كُلِّ ظُلْمٍ مُذْ كَانَا

Muhammad ibn Abi Kaseer koofi narrates. He says:
 
I never finished my Prayers (Salat) and never started it but with curses on those two.

I saw a dream in which a bird had a red colour substance in a container. The bird entered the house of the Holy Prophet (saww) and removed 2 people from the tomb of the Prophet (saww) and applied the red colour substance on their faces and then put them back in the tomb and flew away.

I asked the people present there as to who is this bird and what is the red colour substance. They said that this bird in an angel which comes every friday night and applies the red colour on these two and then leaves.

After this dream I felt very disheartened and did not feel like cursing them in the morning.

Then came Imam Jafar Sadiq (as) and looked at me and smiled and said: “You saw a bird in your dream?”.

I said:  “Yes! My Master”.

Imam (as) said: “Secret counsels are only (inspired) by the Evil One, in order that he may cause grief to the Believers; but he cannot harm them in the least, except as Allah permits.” [58:10] Recit this verse whenever you see a bad dream.

By Allah this angel which has been appointed over them does not do this for their honor (respect). But this is the angel appointed from the east to the west of world so that if any one is killed unjustly then to take their blood and put it on the neck of these 2 because they are the cause of all injustise.

Holy Prophet (saww) said:

أخبرني رسول الله ص و عرفني أنه رأى على منبره‏اثني عشر رجلا أئمة ضلال من قريش يصعدون منبر رسول الله ص و ينزلون على صورة القرود يردون أمته على أدبارهم عن الصراط [المستقيم‏] قد خبرني بأسمائهم رجلا رجلا و كم يملك كل واحد منهم واحد بعد واحد عشرة منهم من بني أمية و رجلان من حيين مختلفين من قريش عليهما مثل أوزار الأمة جميعا إلى يوم القيامة و مثل جميع عذابهم فليس من دم يهراق في غير حقه و لا فرج يغشى حراما و لا حكم بغير حق إلا كان عليهما وزره

He saw on his pulpit 12 misguiding imams, from them ten will be from Bani Umayyah and 2 will be from 2 different families of Quraish (abu bakr(la) & umar(la)). And the sins of the entire Ummah till the day of judgement for these 2 will be equivalent to the punishment of the entire Ummah and no blood will be shed unjustifiably, no woman raped and no unfair command will be passed, but the sin of that will be on these 2 [Abu Bakr(la) and Umar(la)].

Imam Ali (as) said:

ثم قال عليه السلام إن عليهما خطايا أمة محمد. إن كل دم سفك إلى يوم القيامة و مال يؤكل حراما و فرج يغشى حراما و حكم يجار فيه عليهما من غير أن ينقص من إثم من عمل به شي‏ء. قال عمار يا أمير المؤمنين، سمهما لنا فنلعنهما. قال يا عمار، أ لست تتولى رسول الله صلى الله عليه و آله و تبرأ من عدوه قال بلى. قال و تتولاني و تبرأ من عدوي قال بلى. قال حسبك يا عمار، قد برئت منهما و لعنتهما و إن لم تعرفهما بأسمائهما. قال يا أمير المؤمنين لو سميتهما لأصحابك فبرءوا منهما كان أمثل من ترك ذلك. قال رحم الله سلمان و أبا ذر و المقداد، ما كان أعرفهم بهما و أشد براءتهم منهما و لعنتهم لهما. قال يا أمير المؤمنين جعلت فداك، فسمهما فإنا نشهد أن نتولى من توليت و نتبرأ ممن تبرأت منه. قال يا عمار، إذا يقتل أصحابي و تتفرق عني جماعتي و أهل عسكري و كثير ممن ترى حولي يا عمار، من تولى موسى و هارون و برئ من عدوهما فقد برئ من العجل و السامري، و من تولى العجل و السامري و برئ من عدوهما فقد برئ من موسى و هارون من حيث لا يعلم. يا عمار، و من تولى رسول الله و أهل بيته و تولاني و تبرأ من عدوي فقد برئ منهما، و من برئ من عدوهما فقد برئ من رسول الله صلى الله عليه و آله من حيث لا يعلم

“These two will have the burden of the errors of the entire ummah and surely all the blood that is shed till the Day Of Judgement, the wealth that is consumed unlawfully, the raping of women and the command that is forced – these all will be on these two without any decrease in the sins of the doer.” 

Ammar said: “ O Ameerul Momeneen, tell us the names of these two so we can curse them.”
He asked: “O Ammar do not you bear friendship with the Holy Prophet (saww) and keep away from his enemies?”

Ammar replied : Yes . So he(as) said, ‘ And do you keep friendship with me and keep away from my enemies?’ He replied : Yes

So he (as) said: “O Ammar, that is enough for you . You kept away from them both and have cursed them both, although you do not know their names”

Ammar said : ‘O Ameerul Momeneen, if you tell the names of both of them two your companions, then they would keep away from them and this was better than leaving.’

Imam Ali (as) said: “May Allah have mercy on Salman, Abuzar and Miqdad. They know these two so well and keep very much away from them and curse them.”

So Ammar requested : ‘O Ameerul Momeneen, may I be sacrificed for you, tell us the names of those two beacause we bear witness that we bear friendship with those you bear friendship and keep away from those you keep away.’

Imam Ali(as) replied: (following is the reason as to why Imam Ali (as) did not take their name openly and cursed them in public)
“O Ammar, at that time my companions will be killed and my community and my army and the large gathering that you see around me will seperate from me. O Ammar, whoever kept friendship with Mosa and Haroon and kept away from their enemies, he also kept away from the Calf and Samree and whoever kept away from the enemies of both of them, he also kept away from Mosa and Haroon in such a manner that he does not even know. O Ammar, whoever kept friendship with the Holy Prophet (saww) and his Ahlulbait (as) and kept friendship with me and stayed away from my enemies, then he kept away from both of them. Whoever kept away from their enemies he kept away from the HolyProphet(saww) in such a manner that he does not even know”

Imam Ali(as) said:

أما إن معاوية و ابنه سيليان بعد عثمان ثم يليهما سبعة من ولد الحكم بن أبي العاص واحدا بعد واحد تكملة اثني عشر إمام ضلالة و هم الذين رآهم رسول الله ص على منبره يردون أمته على أدبارهم القهقرى عشرة منهم من بني أمية و رجلان أسسا ذلك لهم و عليهما مثل أوزار هذه الأمة

Muawiyah and his son, after Usmaan, will be rulers and after them from Hakam ibn Abil Aas, seven people will become rulers who will be one by one until 12 imams who will misguide are completed. And these are those very people whom the Holy Prophet(saww) saw on his pulpit reversing (from religion) the Ummah. Ten from them will be from Bani Umayyah and two (Abu Bakr & Umar) who laid foundation for them and these two – the sins will be equal to the sins of the enitre Ummah
