Imām Ali ibn Musa al-Reza (alayhi salām) said:
“…Day of Ghadeer is also the day of smiling in the believing people’s faces; so, if one smiles in the face of his believing brother on the Ghadir Day, Almighty Allāh will look upon him on the Resurrection Day with mercy, settle a thousand of his needs, allocate a palace in Paradise to be his, and make his face bright….”

Imām Ja’far ibn Muhammad  al-Sādiq (alayhi salām) said by ) any time he wishes (during the Day of 18th of Dhul Hijjah), though it is best that this (Salat) be performed as close to the time of Zawwal (mid-day when the sun begins its decline; this is when the time for Salat Zuhr beings) as possible because this is the time at which Amir al-Mu’minin Imām ‘Alī ibn Abī Tālib (alayhi salām) was appointed at Ghadeer e Khumm as the flag of the people and … (the reward for this salat) is as if the person had been present on the Day (of Ghadeer e Khumm)…”
